The
role of women in Montería has improved within the last 70 years. Women used to be
socially stigmatized just for being women, that is, they were the ones who were
supposed to attend the whole family, actions that included: cooking, washing
clothes, taking care of children, staying at home without permission to go out
and also without chances to get a job, were common those days. Nowadays, women
in Montería city are allowed to be involved in different fields, like:
social, politic, cultural and business. Now they are considered professionals,
not illiterate as it used to be. They also, have great influence on the
society.
Problems
of generation gap between parents and children in Bogota are affecting their
relationship. Today, parents and children are
moving away from each other. As we all know, our environment has changed, so
the life styles and minds of children also change. Today generation does not
like other interfering in any of their personal matters; they do not like
parents ordering them, and if they try and tell them what is wrong for them,
they misbehave with their parents. Parents basically create generation gap
themselves. They do not talk to their children and share with them. The parents
are just too busy with their work and jobs around the city, that they do not
have time for their family and their children. They realize it only when there
is a huge distance between them.
